It keeps things cold when they are inside and it is turned on. It looks like your average freezer. If you want a basic freezer that freezes things, this one works well.

I was thinking that I had made a mistake in buying this freezer because it wouldn't stop running it ran for over 36 hours and it was way below-20 I finally unplugged it and let it set for fifteen minutes then plugged it back in it ran for about ten minutes and shut off now it is maintaining-10 without running all the time

So much nicer and bigger that I thought. Easy access, and only thing I would add is a warning if the lid is not closed. Husband put too much in the top basket and the lid was not closed for a couple of hours. Did not affevt the main compartment but was annoying. Otherwise, great addition.

This is a quality product, with 2 baskets, and a LED light which allows you to see your frozen goods. The Power light is bright enough to see from the other side of the basement. Has a port on the front to clean out when it comes time for a defrosting, which won't happen for years to come.

We wanted a quality chest deep freezer in our garage to store a side of beef from a rancher. We have been happy with GE quality in the past and they could quickly deliver a fairly large capacity freezer to our rural home. Although it does not have automatic defrost or quick freeze mode, it will serve our needs very well in the garage. If they had an even larger chest available in stock, I would have chosen for extra capacity.
