Renge top dead after 2 years

this january we've been using this stove 2 years.
the range top quit working today. it made sizzling sounds after turning the burners on and smoke came out. we unplugged it from the wall.
we bought almost 10,000 worth of samsung appliances. in less than two years we had the washer machine completely die. the ice maker broke twice and now the range is dead.
this is our third house we bought samsung appliances for and we are absolutely done. this is horrible.

based on this experience i will never purchase another samsung appliance again. the knobs are easily knocked "on" which happened and caused a pot to burn and crack the cooktop. thankfully it did not burn down my house and now i have to keep the knobs completely off the range unless i am cooking. highly inefficient and unattractive. but worse is the customer service - total lack of it. they could not find a vendor to service the repair in my area and i had to take care of it myself with the "promise" of reimbursement. this happened back in feb 2020. it's now nov 2020...still no reimbursement.

what a stove! it is gorgeous. there are a couple drawbacks. with the knobs in the front, it is easy to bump them and turn them. the oven is huge and the warming/pan storage drawer is smaller. one thing that i missed was the lip that goes over the counter on each side. i did not see that when i looked at it and only realized it when it was installed. it made us remodel our kitchen though!

the burner top control buttons turn on with any little bump. we, as adults, had this happen way to many times. never had this problem from other ovens.

the temperature probe was not included.
the 2 timers i was most excited about are worthless since the alarm is so quiet i miss it with normal kitchen activity/noise level

I took delivery on this unit on April Fool's Day! I sure hope that this one works better than my last. I had purchased basically the exact unit when we built our new home about a year and a half ago. The first time I tried to use the self-clean feature, the control panel went dark after cleaning and the door would not open. I finally got Sears to come out and work on it, only about $130 dollars because there was literally no way that they could access (what she thought was the over heat switch) because all points of entrance were through the oven, which was "locked". I felt very bad having it loaded on the delivery truck for scrap, because it was still such a beautiful unit. If I didn't have the entire suite of Samsung appliances, I probably would have gone with a more reliable brand name.

We purchased in Nov, 2018 and have used for a few months now. We do like this stove. Great features and works well.
The only complaint we have is the knobs are in front, and it is easy to lean over the range to do something, and bump a knob and turn on a burner without realizing it. This happened when I was installing an range hood.

I have had this range for 2 weeks. The oven part is fine with no complaints. The glass top already has spots on it and is scratched. You would think it would be more scratch resistance. I use only glass top paste cleaner and the glass top spray. It doesn't even look new anymore after just 2 weeks.. How ugly is it going to be after 2 months. Very disappointed. Will not buy Samsung again.

WE JUST MOVED INTO OUR NEW HOME 31 DAYS AGO. I HAD TO HAVE BLACK STAINLESS AND THE DESIGN OF THIS RANGE FIT THE TICKET BY DEFAULT.THE SAMSUNG APPLIANCES WERE THE ONLY BRAND THAT HAD ALL THE KITCHEN APPLIANCES IN BLACK. SS I CANNOT COMPLAIN ABOUT THE OVEN , IT IS A GOOD SIZE AND PLENTY OF RACKS. I AM HAVING THE SAME ISSUE KEEPING THE COOKTOP CLEAN SO NO TINY BUBBLES IMBED THEMSELVES INTO THE GLASS. I BOUGHT NEW POTS AND PANS AND I AM FINDING SCRATCHES IN THE GLASS I MUST USE CLEANER EVERY TIME I COOK AND CANNOT LET IT GO FOR FEAR THE NEXT PERSON WILL COOK ON TOP OF SPLATTER. THIS IS AN EXTRA 20-30 MIN. EVERY NIGHT. I HOPE ALSO THEY HAVE A RECALL ON THE STOVE TOP, IT IS A PAIN EVERY DAY, BUT I LIKE TO COOK AND THIS SURE WORKS WELL EXCEPT FOR THE EXTRA WORK.. THIS IS THE 4TH RANGE WITH A GLASS COOKTOP , NEVER EXPERIENCED SUCH A TOUCHY TOP AND EXPENSIVE TO MAINTAIN WITH PAPER TOWELS, SOFT CLOTHS AND GOOD TOP CLEANER. THANKS FOR LETTING ME VENT.

I found that the product manual was not very clear about what to expect on power up after the stove installation. There needs to be diagrams showing what area of the digital control panel to touch as you start up the range for the first time.

I love most things about our new stove. when using the timer for the first time I found the noise it makes when done is completely useless. I have to be standing right next to the stove to hear it. I called support and was told it is not possible to adjust the volume on the timer to an audible level, the options are only to turn it on or off.
The other more important features of this stove work perfectly and I am otherwise extremely happy with this purchase.

I shopped for ranges online. I have had several Samsung products and have never had a problem with them. The slide-in model was not in stock at Lowe's so I could not get a look at it. You could only view the range on the website, which does not do it justice. When it was delivered, I couldn't believe how stunning it is. My wife wanted a black appliance to match the others in the kitchen. This range is black stainless steel. I had never heard of that, but it is beautiful.
Some reviews indicated that the convection fan is loud. I found it to be quiet. The oven heats up quickly. The controls are well laid out and easy to understand. This is a great product. I love it.
